American fast food chain Dairy Queen has seen three of its Kansas-based restaurants experience rapid growth over the short term using a highly-targeted SMS campaign. Offering 99 cent burgers through text message marketing, Dairy Queen saw 106 of its 590 subscribers avail of the offer. Recent research has shown that consumers in the UK are more likely to visit a business that has a loyalty scheme.
